NOLA Playback Theatre recently emerged out of the crisis of Katrina and is an ensemble of local actors, theater directors, choreographers, dancers, writers, musicians, visual artists, social workers, and community activists that are dedicated to the revitalization of our area through the art form of Playback Theatre.
Supported by the School of Playback Theater, Playback NYC, and Philadelphia Playback for change, who have trained our company in Playback Theater,we are also in partnership with ASHE Cultural Arts Center and the Contemporary Arts Center, where we hold bimonthly rehearsals and participate in an undoing racism project, Truth Be Told.
Our company exists and continues to grow due to the support and training
provided by the International Playback School, Jonathan Fox, Paul McIsaac of Playback NYC, and Pamela Freeman and Sarah Halley of Philadelphia Playback for Change.
Please contact us for information on becoming one of our partners. |
